New 2002 SE 6 speed

Guys,

Just want to say thanks for all the information you guys provided through the threads on this forum. I discovered this website a few months ago after test driving a 2001 Max. I resisted the urge to buy one at that time and continued to do research on the Max and numerous other vehicles.

The information I read here helped me make the decision to finally go for the Maxima. I considered sterling mist but ultimately chose a six-speed super (chippy?) black. Yea, I know, black has a bad reputation for chipping on the Max. Time will tell if I was foolish in choosing black. This car sure looks great though!

It's loaded up with all options except leather and nav. List price: $28,902. Through my travels this week I found dealers in the Chicago area anxious to make a deal. Through some hard work I negotiated $3,202 off list and paid $25,700 + tax, title, and license.

If anyone is seriously thinking about buying one in the near future, you might want to consider buying one now, before Chirstmas. It appears that sales are really slow right now.

Fellow super black owner. So far no problems with chipping paint.
