My window grinds whether im putting them up or down. I pulled the panel but didnt see anything, I thought it might be ice there wasnt any. It comes down at regular speed but when I bring it up its slow and the sound gets real loud, any clues to this problem?

 

It's probably the steel cable for the regulator coming unraveled. Solution is a new window regulator, it's not servicable apart from the motor. As the loose threads come past the rollers or through the motor gear, they grind against the frame of the regulator making that noise.
