Nismo, I've got a question for ya...

Does the mod actually make the gear shifter in the car throw shorter as in I won't have to bang my hand against my passenger's leg every time I drop it into sixth?

Now you have me curious...
If the short-throw shifter mod does not make the gear shifter throw shorter, what might you imagine that it does?

Ok, now that I have that out of my system, the answer is yes, the throw is shorter.
The STS mod takes the "square" that would be formed if you draw a line from the "corners" formed when the shift **** is in 1st, 5th, 6th and 2nd gear. The mod takes that square and shrinks it (in my estimation) by about 30-40%, depending where you drill the hole.

I was just clearing it up.

I knew it shortened the throw, but I wasn't sure exactly how. That's good to know, though. Thanks for the heads up.
