Power seat question

This might actually sound wierd.

On my 01 GLE... when I move the seat up switch on the back of the switch, just the back portion of the bottom cushion comes up. Moving the front part of the switch up or down just tilts the front part of the bottom cushion.

I test drove a 09 altima today and noticed that when i do the same for the back part of the switch, the bottom cushion and the seat back both move up or down. moving the front part of the switch moves only the front part of the bottom cushion.

My question is, is it normal for the maxima to do this? or should it also be moving both seatback and bottom cushion up and down. I feel it might be an issue as I am always unable to get a proper position against the lumbar support.

Anyone else notice this?

considering you are comparing two vehicles that are 8 years apart it could be normal for the max's seat to operate independently when you are adjusting the cushion height and angle, I've never noticed this in my 2000 max because I already found my perfect position. good luck with getting a solution
