What kind of foam are you guys using to fix your rattles....

I've pretty much given up on the dealer to ever fix my rattles so I wuess I will take a shot at it. The only weather stripping I can find is the Frost King brand but it has the tape on it.
What size are you guys using? Tim, I think you mentioned 1/8 size, I assume that means width. Checked Wally World and Tony Stewart Land but only can find the stuff with tape on it and the narrowest I see is 3/16.
Sort of quieted down the rear deck vibration by stuffing a whole bunch of foam up into the hole that the Bose would be in if I had one.....seems sort of a shame having to do all this to a 24K car .... lol

I used some stuff that is used for sealing windows for drafts - it's about 1" wide and about 1/8th inch thick. It is about the same color as the brown dash board.
I left the paper over the adhesive side, and used a rubber spatula to insert it into the crevice. The rubber didn't scratch anything.
Before you push the foam tape in, wedge your finger in the gap or push against the pillar plastic to make enough room to stuff it in there. You can push it in so that it's about 1/4" below the surface, and it won't show. I ran the piece along the entire length of the gap.
Good luck.

I have a frost interior too, so the grey color weatherstrip foam works pretty well for me. It's the kind you use for sealing around an air-conditioner, by Frost King. The one I use doesn't have any tape on it, and you can get it at Home Depot for like 99 cents. You can cut any size piece you like from it.
