BMW = "Bavarian Mist Wagen" - In English Mist Wagen means Garbage Truck!

Maybe so, but I'm partial to my old 1st gen. 1981 Maxima. The ultimate sleeper car with a frumpy 3 box sedan body. But underneath that unassuming skin lurked 240Z mechanicals (2.4L SOHC inline 6 Engine W/FI, "Z" Suspension, Brakes, and etc.) not to mention RWD!

Wasn't the '81 model one of those that talked to you?

"(ding!) Your passenger door is ajar. (ding!) Your passenger door is ajar."

I always though that was kind of spooky.

Now THAT's a true thing of beauty! A perfect example of what I affectionately call "A Ghetto Blaster!" I can't see it in the picture but I KNOW that sucker's got a big 'ole' "Potato Launcher/Fartcan Muffler." I can almost hear it imitating the (uncensored)"Camp Fire scene from Blazing Saddles", be still my heart...

I forgot about that but yes it did, used a tiny record. Not really spooky, just mildly annoying. Sort of like having your girlfriend/wife/mother in law nagging you. Easy to stop the talking too, just unplug the player wire. The other situation not so easy to fix!

My only complaints about Beamers are the price tags, and the arrogant douche-types that normally pilot them

I have a few friends from Germany I keep in contact with. They actually mock most American BMW owners over the price we pay for Bimmers here in the states.

BMWs over there aren't much more expensive than a competively-priced domestic is here...people pay outrageous prices for BMWs here in America not because of the cost of importation (99% of American BMWs are built here now) but because it's the "uppity" thing to do.

Kind of like going to Abercrombie and paying $75 for a hoody, or going to Old Navy and spending $25.

Well, not quite. But you get the comparison.

Although, my Abercrombie hoody is very comfy and warm...

Volvo is an upscale car in the US, too. But the really crazy thing is that Buick is the must-have car in China.

Buick!

See, we're not the only continent full of suckers.

It's people hear that fully mod their car and get bored and sell it. Make it unmistakable and unique.
Here's the best advice I can offer. Take pictures of the car from all angles. Put them on your computer and you can use image editing software like "Photoshop" etc. (BTW; "Gimp" is free) to try out stripes, color schemes, graphics, and whatever you want to do on the pictures of the car. Before you spend $$$ for doing something to the car you might regret later on. Then more $$$ to get it undone or changed to something you'll like better.

I have, and I wasn't that impressed. At least not enough to consider owning one.
Germans actually don't think that highly of them, which says a lot. In fact, it was a German engineer I worked with, who called BMW "Bavarian Mist Wagens".

Never had that in my Z31, fully loaded Turbo model too...., must have been the body style before mine (87).

I'm glad too cause that would have driven me crazy.
