2001 HEADLIGHT HID WIRING QUESTION
2001 HEADLIGHT HID WIRING QUESTION
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone can help me out here.
So i order aftermarket Projector healdlights with halos from E-BAY for my 2001 Nissan Maxima which use H1 bulbs for high beam and low bean. I also have a HID kit that i want to hook up with H1 bulbs..
What i am wondering is how do i hook up the H1 HID's to my original factory 9003/hb3 3 hole/prong plug?
The projectors come with h1 bulbs and the original male 9003 plug that fit directly into my original factory female 9003 plug and everything works perfectly.... BUT i cannot get the wiring right on the HID's plugs to work. All they have coming out of the HID H1 bulbs is a RED wire and BLACK wire, no plug.
Can somebody help please.
Thank you very much..

They plug into the harness. (car side-female) + and -.
It's a cheap dumb setup, know why? Cause they are cheap dumb lights and you're installing a cheap HID kit in them.
You've also likely succeded in making those cheap dumb lights that you've spent a bunch of money on. And when you need to replace the Halos (soon) they will be have cost more than buying a decent set of headlights would have. And you`lll STILL have cheap lights.
Just sayin`
Enjoy

Hey Tunermax
Thanks for the info. Still kind of confused. so the original plug is a three pin or three hole
Which has a TOP, LEFT AND RIGHT so where do i plug the Red and Black wire from the HID bulb into.
Also i had the HID's lying around from my 300zx that i sold and the Lights I just picked up used for $120..and the Halo's if they do go out they are just peanut bulbs which i ordered like 3 dozens from China for $4.00 so i will just keep changing them..
But all and all even if they work for a year i will be happy...
thanks again for getting back and please let me know which wire goes where.
THANKS!!!
