how low should i go?

just want to put it out there first, I did search all over but couldnt find a thread to help me. so if there is a post please let me know. no disrespect intended by this post.

I am looking to drop my 5th gen its a daily driver through all weather. i have 18x7.5 on it right now. with 225/40/18's i want to be able to drop it to a nice stance but nothing to low where im scrapping all the time.

i would love to do coilover kit but dont have 1k right now for that im looking in the 250 and under range.

i like the tien but its a 2 inch drop, then there are a few others i have seen 1.3 inch drop and i have seem some on nopi's site that are 1.7 front 1.5 rear. im not sure what to go with. i would like to do the tien but im not sure if thats to low to fit with the 18's n give me a lil room for a smooth ride still. please help. good or bad im kool just need some help. thanks my 5th gen fam!

Go as low as your wallet will allow you too!!!!!!! or keep it simple so you can still commute in the real world where there are steep driveways, deep potholes, etc......1.75" would be the most for me..........(Progress)

given how low the s-techs sits, they do rebound a little but i guess definitely better than being rock solid no?

I bought new tein stechs off an .org member and I love them coupled with my new koni yellows, I think the drop was 1.5' or so? not sure but its a nice stance and still very comfortable for daily driving, every now and then i hit a pot hole and cringe but thats maybe once a month at most? i drive around 1200-1500 a month so you get the idea. The total for teh setup was around $750 and I installed them myself.
