LCA ES Bushing Install Help
LCA ES Bushing Install Help
I decided to have a shop do my LCA ES bushings. They came across an issue today which isn't a show stopper, but may be of concern.
Part of reference: Smaller of the two bushings for the LCA. It is a two piece bushing which slides into the the LCA (let's call this the LCA Ring) and has a sleeve (supplied by Energy, lets call this ES Sleeve) which slides into the bushing where the bolt goes through the ES Sleeve.
The ES Sleeve is about 1mm longer than the LCA Ring. When the ES Sleeve is slid into the es bushing, it doesn't seem long enough. When my shop tightened the nut with the washers on both sides, they are pressing hard against the bushing. This seems that the sides of the bushing wear out and the LCA ring will be rubbing against the washers.
I dont think this is a fault of the kit. I supplied my own kit, but the shop had an LCA ES kit (same part no, much older box) and the sleeves in that kit were the same length as mine.
Any thoughts. Apologies for not taking a picture when visiting the shop today.
