Anyone tried the switchblade w/ transponder key on ebay?

Tried searching all that came up was a thread from 2005 and the one they talked about had no transponder chip. Found this key/fob combo on ebay that is supposed to have a transponder so I was wondering if anyone had used one and can confirm it works before I order 2 of them.

Edit: They also have one for the 02/03. Every thread I found seemed to concern how to build one but didn't see anything on any key/fob combo that had a transponder.

They are still oem just a different year, I'd say yes because the end of the key doesn't matter, the only part that matters is the cut part, and the transponder chip, so if there is a fob attached it doesn't matter to the car.
I have not however bought one personally for myself, I don't like the switchblade keys. I did buy the keys from a guy who also sold a switchblade key and mine work flawlessly so I'd say yes it works and its a safe bet.

I bought my 02 Alti and the previous owner had it done. Not a big fan of it but they do work. Not sure about the programming etc, but I haven't had any issues with it

I'm pretty sure I have to take it to the dealer for programming. As long as it works though I am cool with it but I had read that some of the ones on ebay don't work too well.

I have one. Bought this one:

Cut my key, transferred the chip. Duplicated the key at Home Depot, and transferred the guts from my keyfob. Done deal.

My keyfob is shot hence why I am looking at the key/transponder/fob combo since I only have 1 key (with broken plastic) and 1 dead fob I need at least 1 more of each but since I'm gonna get it done I might as well get 2 so I have 1 complete extra and 1 extra single key.

What I did was take the chip out of the OEM key and glued it inside the eBay flip key. I had it for about 2 years. The build quality is not as great as OEM. The black coating has almost completely flaked off and the key does no flip out strongly as the new acura keys.

Dont go to a dealer to get the keys programmed, call a local locksmith, itll be MUCH cheaper, ACE hardware does it as well. But i called maybe 10 locksmiths and ended up getting a deal well worth the 15 minutes on the phone and he even came out to my house, so it was much better, 3 keys cut and programmed for either $50 or $70 i cant remember, either way it was gonna be at least 65 for one everywhere else.

I don't see $50 as being unreasonable to save me the hassle as long as it functions properly and is not overly cheap. In fact the 350z guy estimates the whole project cost @ 35-50 so 50 for a premade seems like a pretty good deal.
