VIAS

Hey guys,

I was just reading an article on the VIAS for my 2000 Max.

http://www.vqpower.com/v2/articles.php?article_id=21

I am going to be working on the max in a couple of days anyways so I was thinking I might as well open mine up and see if I need to jb weld it. Right now I feel/hear nothing different at 5k rpms is that normal? Also will I need a new gasket or just slap that bad boy back on when I am done?

From what I have read its worth it to block it on the VQ35DE but not on my motor.

Its worth it to run a DE-k with a blockoff. Im running a blockoff and deleted power rod and the top end screams!! Pulls WAY harder up top although low end did take a slight hit...

RTV works great.

If you need, I have a VIAS box and power rod for sale.

Hey,

I pulled it apart last night and it looks perfect. There was resistance when I turned it too which I read is a good thing... Anyways I am pretty sure my VIAS works becuase 5k and up is fast I have no lag in acceleration I just wanted to make sure it was not broken since I was going to be out in the garage anyways.
