hood wont open
Yes. Work the latch open and closed with a friend while periodically spraying a lubricant on the latch. This usually does the trick. Regular maintenance usually prevents this. Hood, doors, and trunk. Give a few sprays every few months.
yeah, but if its to far gone, new ones arent that expensive
I'm assuming that will work and you won't need this thread anymore.
With that said I don't think my issue warrants its own thread lol.
My trunk will only open if someone crawls in it and pulls the lever inside. I greased up the parts and still nothing. I push the button on my key and everything moves the same (tiny) amount that the lever inside moves it... I need a new latch? Price?

Also may want to check the condition of the hood release cable to make sure it is not broken or stretched in any way, preventing the latch from even functioning ... if needed I do have the hood release cable for sale in my sale thread http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...arts-sale.html
