Lower front radiator support replacement?

Greets,

My lower front radiator support is quite rusted and needs replacement. I've seen the threads with various patches vs the right way to replace it. (remove a major portion of the front section, drill out the old front support and weld in the new).

Does anyone know a reputable place in NYC that does this job and approximate cost (assuming I provide the new replacement front support)?

Thanks

Put a post in the northeast section, you'll find some local installers there.

It's actually not that hard, just time consuming. Perhaps something you can tackle yourself on a weekend.

mines trashed...the connecting bracket that bolts in to the lower rad support and up to the hood latch is no longer even attached its gotten so bad. I plan on pulling the front bumper, cleaning it up and treating the rust then patching with aluminum and fiberglass at some point this spring/early summer.

i had a local body shop (central pa) quote me about 300ish after they peeked at it if that helps at all.

^^ If you're doing all that work, just replace it. The amount of work to chisel off the old one and install a new one is equal to that of working with aluminum and fiberglass.
