Timing tensioner

I just thought about this for a while when it's time to replace the timing tensioner, I noticed there a small cover access on the timing cover, has anyone ever replace the tensioner? If so, it is difficult to do since access to it is very tight space, or just drop the motor out to get more leverage to reach into it? Any thoughts or comment those who have done it

You can only replace the main tensioner through the access hole. There is not much space but it is doable. I just did all 3 guides and tensioners, meaning half the motor came apart. I wouldnt want to remove the motor just to fix the tensioners. If I was replacing the motor, however, I would sure as heck replace the tensioners and guides while its on a stand.
