Race Update SS/ TL

I had a couple of races in this past week.

My first was my friend in his 2001 SS-Monte Carlo. We were at the traffis light getting ready to go on the freeway. We move off from the light, both screaming tires...he inched out ahead of me. We hit the freeway and it was on...we were neck and neck to about 50mph...then the Nissan Beast came out....I pull ahead by a car length...he then sat on my *** up to 75mph...I started inching away until I was about 10 car lengths and 130+ mph away. DEAD.

Second was a 2001 or 2002 Acura TL T-type..I was driving along the causeway in Miami...the TL ran up on me,like I stole his wife. I let him pass me...We got to a red light...I was behind him...The light turned green he dropped the hammer so did I....I sat less than 5 inches on his *** up to about 52mph until I saw a police coming real fast...I backed off...He kept going...The rice boy got pulled...I went by laughing.

AGAIN -MY MAXIMA IS A GXE AUTO WITH NO MODS YET---ORDERED THE NITROUS.

TL Type T? Do you mean Type S? I never heard of the Type T? I have a 2001 Maxima SE/AE and a 2002 Acura TL Type S. The Acura beats the Maxima hands down! No contest! But don't get me wrong. I like both cars equally the same. Both have their plus and minuses.

I would have thought the Type-S would pull on you harder than that, considering you are an auto with no mods. Good kill on the SS, I think the reason why you got "10" car lengths is because they are limited somewhere in the lower 100's.

There are 2 types of TL,CL type P and Type S. If you just say TL or Cl it means type P- the regular one. If they have that little red -S then its a type S and those kill a 2000,2001 auto maximas. The 5 speed 2000 and 2001 can beat those. a 2002 maxima auto or manaual beat those TL-S,CL-S with no problem at all

The Monte SS only has a meager 200hp, weighs about 3400lbs and is governed to about 110. It should be no contest.
Later, AL
2002 SE 6-speed Mystic Silver (coming soon)

My friend has a 2001 tl type s and even though he gets me off the line, I don't take off hard, after 40 I routinely punish him all the way into the 130's.

I meant to say type-S the one with the little red badge.
