Ok guys!!

We are clearing up all of the pending projects that we have at our shop, a few years ago we attempted to make a 2002-2003 Maxxtuning replica lip, it didn't pan out because the urethane used to produce the original lip was too flimsy and it warped out of shape while we were making our molds. We soon abandoned the project to continue working on other new products that we had lined up.

So here we are, we are going to decide based on the response that we get from this thread. We will need to have at least 10 committed buyers in IonicFlex with deposits before we start to work on this project. In order to offer this in CF we would need the 10 IonicFlex orders + 5 in CF.

The lips will be offered in IonicFlex (flexible fiberglass) and Carbon Fiber. The introductory pricing will be $180 for the IonicFlex lips and $280 for the CF lips. Prices are + actual shipping and handling charges. The shipping can range anywhere from $60 to $120 depending on the dimensions of the box, if it's shipped via fedex or greyhound and the destination.

The specifications of the lips will be as follows:

The Ionic Flex lips will be in FRP, fiber reinforced plastic, with our own proprietary formulation. This means that no other company offers our type of flexible fiberglass. The lips will be unpainted and can be color matches at an extra $120.

Carbon Fiber lips will be one layer of infused CF with two layers of fiberglass mat as reinforcement. Please save the naive comments complaining that it's not prepreg CF or "dry" CF, the companies that have that type of tech are not going to bother in a part like this and will never offer it a this price.

Time frames would be as follows, after we have the 10 committed buyers for the IonicFlex lips we would start to move on the project and start to receive the deposits, after the last deposit is received we would start working on the mold and be ready to ship the lips out after 8 weeks.

If you ready my initial post your answer is there. We are wrapping up many unfinished projects, this is one of them. We are giving this one last chance, it either lives or dies with this thread. If you contacted us before and didn't get a positive reply that was because we had other projects lined up. Many people assume that some products are going to be great sellers, and they turn out to be flops, for example the AE replica rear lip.

the rear lip is a 'great seller' as IMO its better than the stillen rear lip...not everyone wants that bulky look, they just want a little body on their car

I think you need to rethink your reply, it may be a "great design" but has never been a "great seller" since we haven't sold enough sets to even cover the initial cost of the project

There was all that hype where people said that they "really wanted it" and when we came out with the product the buyers disappeared.

I think the AE rear lip would have been a lot better if it had the mud flaps on it like the original

It's in the past, we must keep focus on the new project. The lip will be in a different finish, it will be semi mate black. The full roof spoiler mold got damaged and we had to pull that item, I don't know if there is still the demand for it to make it worthwhile to make new molds.

I will let everyone know when we are ready to take deposits, its not time yet.
