I used to have yokohama yk520, great tire, toward the end of the life of the tire, it started making this loud humming sound. Tire is was not cupped and even wear on the tire. So i replaced it with Dunlop Direzza about $115 each.

Now the tire is makes the humming road noise sound the faster i go from 10 mph. I want to say its a defective tire or just not a good one for the car. Could it be something else? The car is at Discount Tire now.

Can someone please help before i invest in more expensive tires please!!

Did you do alignment/balancing after replacing the tires?
That helped me when changed my old tires that were also having a humming noise at highway speeds.

Sounds like people complain about noise with this tire. Since you live in MN I would highly recommend Goodyear TripleTreds. Summer and snow tire all in one. Excelent sidewall strength as well. They cost more but are well worth it.

Old tires had even wear so I didst think it'd need an alignment. It got a balance. I think ill upgrade to a better tire and hope that fixes the problem
