Fighting Vibration

So here is the current issue, ever since getting the car back ive had a very, and i mean very bad vibration issue... the 1st suspect was the GSP axles and their known issues with 6spd transmissions.. i got it changed today for an OEM axle and it did somewhat helped the vibration however its still a pretty bad vibration, its noticeable and uncomfortable at certain speeds but its more noticeable when making right turns, it completely goes away when making a left turn... im using the auto axle for the left side and from what i remember its the samething, correct me if im wrong... anyways, for anybody that have battled vibration issues any help or advice will do thank you

could be either of you lateral moving motor mounts, the one side of the axles that you have not just recently replaced. You are dropped A LOT :/ ...too much for long lasting suspension geometry. start with checking the lateral mounts and inner and outer tie rods, if good replace the other axle.

Have to agree on the inner/outer tie rods (especially considering a pronounced increase in vibration on right turns)

It increases on the right turn because the pass side axle becomes stretched and decreases on a left turn because the axle collapses. It's definitely an axle, pass side 6spd axles are notorious for going bad even immediately after install. Make sure you have a 6spd axle and not an auto axle, I know your new to 6spds so I don't know if your familiar with how hard it is to find 6spd axles and how a lot of stores think theyre the same and sell autos as 6spd. The driver side auto and 6spd are the same. Try to get a new axles and raise the car as much as possible to test this out. A few other possibilities are ball joints, mounts, tie rods.

I thought it was the passenger side axles but I ordered a passenger side axle from car-parts from a 6spd maxima

Just a quick info... the car seen in my sig is my previous DEK which is totalled... the car I have now is nowhere close to being as low as this car, the drop on my 5.5 is where the top of the wheel weld sits on the top of the tire no tucking

How about jacking that bish up and pulling out the pry bar and checking your engine mounts and driveshafts for (full engagement into the differential) I would put it on stands and put it in drive and look for an obvious problem.....first and foremost!

so our drops are about the same

just to be sure check, check, and recheck before you drop $$$ into fixing it.

That's still too low for these ****ty axles, if you want the vibration gone you'll need finger gaps.

I get the vibration with that kind of drop but it was the same ride height with the auto and I probebly got no vibration... I can tolerate alil vibration, not vibration that cause the steering wheel to turn at about 3-5*'s left n right shoot it might be 10*'s fo real

If you have left right steering vibration... my vote goes to the inner or outer tie rods or the LCA bushings/ball joints.

If it was CV axles.. it would be a cyclic vibration which is not characterized by left right vibration in the steering rather it feels like a front back vibration.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... This makes your posts much, much less confusing to me now. I didn't realize you were in a VQ35 now. Congrats.

6spd axles are longer, they take less of a beating and can't take as much of a drop. I went from auto to 6spd too..

After the turbo, clutch couldn't handle the extra power.

left right steering wheel movement = tierods or ball joints...up and down movement = wheel balance or bearing
