well, it's the same. you should get the K&N kit if it's only for $90.
it's pretty much the same thing. even the Stillen's cone filter is made by K&N.

it looks like they finally found a donor car for their project.

I have a K&N intake that I "made" my self. I bought a filter and an adapter (which didn't quite fit correctly, so I had to play with it a little). Overall I like it, I love the sound it makes too.

Does it take away from low end?
but you can always compensate for that later by adding more fuel system.

it takes away little bit from the low end and gives it little bit more in the top end by leaning out the motor..(more air).

Kinda fishy to me ....K&N wanted to make the heatshield and the Plastic piping w/ vaccuum lines...kinda like my intake...I have 3 variations...each different...but that's too "generic" looking.
MAF adapter + K&N filter = $15 adapter + $40 K&N = $90 K&N Filter kit ?

That's the first one...The second one was a sheetmetal air box that was the same size as the factory one, but the air filter location was different, and the air source came from under the car, kinda like the OSCAI, but in a metal form.
The third one used inline air filter and had a 3" pipe to suck air from just below the fuse box on the driver side...kinda like a PR CAI w/o the cut out, and no worries of hydrolocking the motor since the area was well protected.
