Yeah, they're tough little guys to find. Here are a couple other links I've found. Link 1 and Link 2. I can't attest to the companies, but I thought I'd throw out some kind of results.

T5 Replacements from Hong Kong

I purchased 5 of the T-5 wedge bases (from Hong Kong via Amazon) and FYI, the quality is NOT the same as OEM. The bulbs/LEDs fit fine, but you have to apply a different method to getting the wedge bases installed in your cluster.

With the OEM, you push it in until you are forced to stop, then easily turn to lock in place. Using the replacements, I had to push in and let it fall down a bit while I kept trying to turn to lock it in place. Finally you will reach the point where it may turn and you have to apply a bit more force. Lets just say that some of the plastic started shearing off.

I spent about half an hour trying to install these like I would the OEM, then realized they don't lock into position the same way.

Got any pics by chance? And was it the same bulbs (superbrightleds.com) as my original post just in green or some others?

The items I ordered from D&M auto was way too expensive and they're too big, I assume incorrect PN.

That's an OEM color, just brighter. I was expecting to like that config, too. Surprised that I didn't. Toe-may-toe, toe-mah-toe.

Man, you've got some low miles on that car, SupaFly. And here I thought my miles were light.

I don't remember the OEM color ever being "white", but it's been 9 years since they were new.

I took public transportation to work for the first 5 years having the car

They never were. Always a yellowish dim color. Over time, just got more dim.

I have same set-up 'warm white' and love it. Perfect amount of light at night.

I'd like to do the same with my radio, but the desire can't seem to overcome the laziness.

Maybe when I see Tunermax in a few weeks, he'll give me some inspiration on how to do that.

Ha, you want me to help you overcome the laziness? I still haven't put the strip you sent me in

Looks great though, and the quality of it is amazing, much better than the cheap film I used before. Be sure to bring that stuff with you when you come, we'll put it in the ACC while you're here.

Same here. What film did you go with again? I don't want to search through all the pages...

Well, I decided the Radio Shack mod I did to my HVAC was too bright for my tastes and did not flow well with the warm white dash LEDs (74-WWHP3) or my stereo, so I ordered some red NEO4-R LED's and swapped out my DIY LEDs. Also replaced courtesy bulb under HVAC with a 74-WWHP3 to flow with dash.

Much more pleased with results...

BEFORE: Radio Shack LED mod...

AFTER: RED NEO4-R replacements... (crappy cellphone)

^ Wow that turned out quite well, red is one of the 'darkest' colours you can use, and it still looks quite vibrant. The 'courtesy light' (is that what we've decided to call it? I'm never sure) is super bright, those little bulbs never cease to amaze me

I'm just happy that the red's are the same exact color and brightness between the HVAC and the Sony. I almost went with the HP NEO's which are 6 lumens vs. these which are only 2 lumens. Glad I didn't...

Still waiting on this, colour testing is a much needed part of this thread.

That's correct. On the page it should say "Warm White" right next to the 74-WWHP3 if you look here. Then when you actually click "See Prices" you'll see some colored squares to choose your color and it's the beige/white looking one. When you hover over it, it should say "Warm White". Just make sure you click the right one before checking out.

Correct. Twist out old ones, pop bulbs out and insert LEDs, twist back in. Might have to flip the LED in the socket if they don't light up since they only go one way.

Always nice to see quality photography. Well done, Tomcat.

Hmm... "tomcat". Java geek, maybe? Or fighter-jet enthusiast?

Or maybe you just like cats?

OT... yeah. Sue me.

Yeah, they are not inverted like the OEM ones are... The contacts are on the wrong side.

I managed to keep 2 OEM sockets in decent shape, so my gauges look good, now I'm just missing the trip and temp bulbs.

There may be a way to make the Hong Kong bulbs fit. Let me know what you find for replacements.
