How to change drivers side headlight harness on a 2000 SE with auto lights

The plastic housing around the plug melted and my low beams do not work. The high beams still work. Is the harness removable or do I need to cut and splice?

Thanks, it's what you plug the headlight bulb into. The 2 slots on the side are fine, the one on the top has melted off. I was just wondering if the connector was removable as in a plug. I saw a listing on ebay for one that is "plug and play", but I guess cut and splice is my only option.

First you want to find out why its melted. Because if you plug and play it will probably melt again, same for slicing.

I have the same problem with 2000 maxima. The driver side headlight stop working. Changed the bulb worked once and now not working looked at the connector and od not see anything wrong. Tried to measure the voltage on all three connector and no voltage. I checked the switch box and do not see any fuse in the fuse socket. The passenger side headlight works fine. What do I do?

If you are using higher wattage bulbs, the melting will continue to occur. You need to figure out what is causing this problem first(could lead to big problems down the road if your wires are getting super hot)
