What is ThrottlePositionSwitch connector responsible for? (Not sensor)

There are 2 connectors on ThrottlePositionSensor - one is ThrottlePositionSensor and another is ThrottlePositionSwitcch,
I have a problem with my car that when on A/T set to P or N. When I push acceleration pedal so far until engine speed goes between 2-3 rpm - my engine starts pulsing pumping up and down the rpm by itself, in a low range. And I have also sometimes A/T problems while changing gear from 2 to 3.

I have disconnected ThrottlePositionSwitch connector(Not the throttle position sensor of cours) and everything is OK,
WHAT IS THE THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH connector FOR?

thanks, it is very important to me
