Raced A 2k2 3.5se 5-spd Altima

I was on a quiet local road and I see this greenish bluish 3.5 SE altima rolling back and forth at the light going to opposite direction, and when his lite turned green he TOOK OFF! that thing lifted up and was GONE!, a GTS celica next to it didnt have a chance to finish peeling out, so I went after the altima, caught him at the next light and we each acknowledged a race, we took off on green, I was half a car in front, I tree shifted into 2nd, and right when the auto decided to engage, into 2nd, the altima hit 2nd and peeled out and jumped! he was a fender in front of me , and slowly pulled about 1 half car, and at about 90 we shut it down. I was like DAMN! I had a friend in the car, we met at the gas station, since the guy had NO gas, he was riding on E basically, luckly i had a FULL TANK, but he's done 14.2-14.3 at the track, Im going to get him to join altimas.net. He's already riced out the altima with 100's of stickers, RICED OUT!, it says GREDDY, but he had NO greddy equipment. and H&R, and it was stock height! but he did have a cone intake, JWT? i think thats what he said....

naa, my auto kept up with it and lost by about a car, (his taillights were at my window), with me and a friend in the car, and him alone, with a 5spd, although he was pulling away very slowly at around 85mph, and I was at WOT, and yelling s*** . with the 6spd maxima, that on the other hand, blew me away 2 cars and counting.....

I thought a 5spd Altima would run 5.9 0-60 (magazine tests). I have yet to find a test on the 2k2 Max. Doubtful that the Altima could outrun the 6spd Max as the gearing 'should' be better in the Max. Without driver or pass, the Max has 12.6 lbs/hp whereas the Altima is pulling 13.3 lbs/hp.

Anyone know where I can find the gear ratios for the 6spd tranny?

This sounds about right on with my experience.

My 2K1 5 speed w/ intake and Y lost by maybe a car in the low-end, then caught up high end. Sounds like the 2K2 Autos are right on par w/ 2K/2K1 5-speed...

It's fun to watch those Altimas take off down low... mmmmmmmm....poweer...
