Stripped airbag torx screw

So today when I was trying to remove my driver's side airbag to investigate a clunking noise from the steering damper I wound up rounding off the left side torx bolt. I thought about using a grinder to make a slot for a flat blade screwdriver but there is no room to do so without damaging the rest of the steering wheel. Any ideas?

Thanks

Proper size drill bit and screw extractor. Take your time, use a variable speed drill, and use high torque setting with a low speed. Be patient. It'll work.

Alright, I think i will head out and buy an extractor kit today. And one more thing, since i am pretty much going to destroy this screw, does anybody know where i can find a replacement?

Just take one of the goods bolts to Lowes . They have a board with different screw sizes so you can tell what thred pitch you need .
They will have one that works and it will be a few cents.

This. Just about all hardware stores have metric nuts & bolts. Replace all the Torx with hex head so it will be easier next time.

Or,, if you have access to a small dremel tool you could then use the grinder wheel and make the slot for a flat head screw driver ... either way like you said your going to wind up destroying the bolt and will need a replacement.
