doing my springs this week and i was looking for a good write up on install and bushing replacement

every thread i clicked on in the how to sticky sent me to a completely different thread that had NOTHING to do with suspension

What bushing are you looking to replace?

 

mostly just trailing arm but im seeing what else i can get done at the same time.

im also thinking of putting eibach springs on stock struts, got a used set for a good price so i was gunn try them out on there.

looking at when is good to replace (top mounts ect) when installing the springs

Replacing the mount is best done when doing the springs. And IIRC the aprt is like 40$ from Courtesy.

You know, I read through that thread a long time ago and it didn't bother me, I've since acquired ES trailing arm bushings. Now, having read it again after you posted it I'm not so sure I want to install them now.

I saw a thread where someone stated trailing arm bushings and rsb's together are overkill, and can seriously add to oversteer for a lowered car. You got me thinking I should wait before I put my trailing arm bushings in.

 

I'm selling mine as well as my LCA bushings because I don;t feel like installing and thinking I don't need them.

Just a new set of LCA's and I should be fine.

Initially, I thought I'd save $$ and get the LCA bushings and ball joints separate and install. But that idea to me now is FTL, so I'm selling said bushings and said ball joints and purchasing LCA's as an assembly.

I'm weird like that, if I don't install it the first week i get it, I'll usually sell. Same thing with my Z32 BBK.

It's been sold and is shipping out Friday..

 

If your looking to do your LCA's you should check out FCP Imports LCA kit. Im pretty sure they are going for $140 shipped. And thats bushings and LCA's ! A friend of mine just put this kit on his 98 and loves it. Bout to order mine!

Meh, I wasn't really impressed w/ FCP's control arms (I didn't install their ball joints or tie rods) but that's just me. It seemed I got resistance while turning and not even under full-lock. Got some oem's from DaveB and the car felt right again.
