not to sure about that but i have hit some potholes and it hurts me to hear it but so far no bends

I hear they are iight, nothing special. Go with SSR's or any quality rim and U will be happy.

depends what size you want to get them in.....


Are your stock rims the 16" 5 spoke or the 17" 6 spoke? If you have the 17's and you feel you can handle NYC roads with them, and you would like to upgrade to a different design, but the same diameter.. go ahead with it...

I live in NYC as well, and I have had bad experiences with bigger rims here, my 3rd gen max had stock 15", I had 16's and didn't have any problems, although I did bend 1 rim and mess up 1 tire then I got 17" chrome rims and got 2 nails in the tires, and 1 bubble. also most likely bent one as well since it was constantly pulling to the side. Though I have friends who've driven on 17s for a while and had no problems. It depends what size you want to go up to. I don't think Motegi's are that bad that they won't hold up.
