Question about buying a 2k2 max SE

Hi guys this is my first post so take it easy on me. I am going to buy a new maxima SE before Jan. 2. I just have a couple of questions for you guys-1. what is a fair price for a base 2k2 SE and 2. Is there any way i can get the leather package without the bose and sunroof. This is very important for me because I don't want the bose or the sunroof but I really want the leather package because of the memory seats.

i went to nissandriven.com, doesn't seem like you can, if its just the memory seats you're after, then you're out of luck, you have to get the leather package, it will run the price of the car up over $28k. if you just want leather, you can always get aftermarket leather installed, plenty of people on the org have done it.

If you can, wait a month or two and buy one with the Helical Limited Slip Differential . . .

I bought a 2k2 Maxima SE with everything except NAV and HLSD for $27200 at Trophy Nissan in Dallas. It was the 3rd 2k2 6-speed off their lot. That place cuts amazing deals.. I would offer no more than $26200 for a base SE. Just my 2 cents..

In response to the leather question.. I've only seen one Maxima with leather but no Bose or Sunroof.. The leather was a dealer add on... According to the salesman the leather is added on after they receive the car.. They apparently have a custom upholstery shop cover the existing cloth seats with leather upholstery.. It looked just like stock, but I don't know how reliable they would be long term....

Aftermarket is the only possible way to get leather without the extra goodies. Aftermarket leather should run you about $895-$1295 and most leather companies offer a 3 year warranty on their work and leather. You actually get more leather for the $$$.

I would offer no more than $23.5k for a base SE... since quirk is selling them for 22.4k, and the invoice is what around 23.4 and there are small rebates.

you can get aftermarket leather from www.leatherseats.com for around $600. a lot of people on the org have this leather in their cars aand most, if not all, are happy with it. they send you the leather kit. you have to install it yourself or get it installed. many do it themselves. i believe there are write ups on how to do it.
