The chrome on my nissan burger on the steering wheel is starting to chip off. I tried to take it off to paint it with brushed aluminum paint...think it would look good but it wont come off the airbag cover. Is there any way other than getting a new airbag to fix this?

 

Humm, did you do a search. Thats weird and I dont think that this happened much with our cars withthe steering wheels, let us know what you find.

 

i will and its such an eye-soar too since its right in front of the driver lol

 

*eye-soar....i'd say buy a new airbag cover, b/c gluing something on there might become a projectile if the bag is ever used and lodge itself in your brain. my $.02!

 

Lol I'll have to change it and I woulda thought it was double sided taped on. Guess it's clipped instead. Got a buddy with a neon that his emblem was able to come off. Airbags aren't cheap to replace and airbag that's never blown...Kinda feel like it's ridiculous too
