Wheel Help for my 5th gen

Here's the scenario, I purchased some MRR GT1 wheels, specs are 18x8.5 with a 35 offset and 225/40/18 tires. Now here's the problem when I got home and tried to install the wheels the bolt pattern was off, even though the inside of the rim itself says 5x114.3 and what the seller had claimed, I measured it and they turned out to be 5x100

I can get some adapters made for pretty cheap (~$165) but they are 1 inch (25mm) thick. My question is will it fit or will it poke out too far if I decide to get the adapters? I'm dropped on maxspeeds at the moment (1.4F, 1.3R).

Pics of said wheels.

Btw I searched already and didn't find anything useful and "will it fit" calculators don't help considering the factors of drop etc, so please save the negativity for another day and post useful information. Thank you!

Returned them to seller. Instead I'm picking up a set of mint condition 18" 350z touring wheels tomorrow, I can't go wrong with an 18x8 wheel with a 30 offset and still an OEM look

I'm thinking 235/40/18 is a perfect tire size?

Also picked up a set of Rials for the jetta (18x8, 35 offset) and some 225/40/18 tires, and eibachs are on the way for it the gangsta 20s were sold weeks ago

Going with an OEM look for both cars. You already know what the 350z wheels look like but heres a pic of the Rials for the jetta.

Those Rials look good, i've seen a few Vdubs rollin on em around here. As far as the 18x8 Z wheels you got, the 235's will be a perfect size for them. It's the +1 size for the factory 17's, so your speedo should still be reading the same as well, and your gear ratio won't be affected by having a shorter or taller tire.

I'd go with 235 instead of 225. One of these days, eventually, when I get 18 inch wheels, the tire size is gonna be 235/40-18 on an 8 inch wheel

Yea I'm thinking 235 would be better too, especially since its a DD and I like to put the pedal to the metal sometimes
