i definitely trust irish, on the flexing comment. He definitely put those brakes through tough stresses when he was doing autoX in the max. I have iron calipers I have laying around and never put on. I was always hesitant due to the brake bias issue

There's another member selling a used Stillen BBK Kit that uses PBR calipers with 13" Rotors that's a great deal. The suggested MSRP at Stillen is $1139 for this setup.

If you're not happy with the Z32 setup then just resell them and get something different.

Just curious, what's the matter with all the FLEX on 300zx AL calipers? If you don't track or autocross they will perform pretty much the same. Funny, never seen a flexing problem mentioned on TT.net where I'm a member. And I even searched. Can't comment on the hardware needed for the setup, though.

As boneebone stated, its not the caliper that flexes but the custom bracket that we have to use to run em on our cars.
@Kev yeah thats what I was planning on doing. Or finding a shop thatll duplicate the bracket in a stronger metal.
What type of noises are usually associated with the z32 setup? Shim noises?

For the price a Machine Shop will charge, set-up fees, machining charges, price of Materials to to make them in a different metal, etc. it's going to cost you more than what the whole Z32 BBK is worth, money and performance wise. You could use the money and buy something better.
IMHO, there's an old saying that goes "Don't spend good money on bad".
At the meet today you're going to see three proven choices of BBK Kits, AP Racing, Brembo, and Wilwood. You can't go wrong with any of those three choices.
See y'all later.

Couldn't you reproduce the brackets out of steel. Just go to Lowes/Home Depot. They sell 1/4" bar. Trace, drill, cut. Use grade 8/class 10.9 hardware and washers to get the spacing right. A saber saw and drill press are all you need, no mills necessary.
