Anyone relocated their rear bumper tabs b/c rubbing issues??
SO I'm dropped pretty low and my rear tires are slightly tucked. My fenders are rolled and the bumper tab in the rear were shaved down as much as possible however, when I have a passenger in the car with me the rear would still rub on some bumps. I was told that I would have to relocate this bumper tab (the bolt that holds the bumper to the body) to eliminate this rubbing issue. Has anyone done this?? Any advice?

i've got the 18x9.5 LMGT4's with +30 offsets in the rear wrapped in 275/40R18 BFG's. I have rolled the lip, pulled the fenders, and cut back that crappy little tab, and I still rub. OH, i've only got the 1.5" drop in the rear with Tokico Illuminas set to 5 for less suspension sink.
I'm about to just glue & weld up my own tab, and flushmount the fenders. before I flushmount I'm going to Panhard the rear

Interested in the outcome. I am rolling on Eibach Pro-Kit/Tokico Blues with 350Z Anniversary rims @ +33 offset 245/40/18. Cut bumper tab as much as possible and bent the fender tab up. Rolled fenders too. Still rubs with passengers in car and on occasional freeway expansion joints.

Well anyways looks like no one has come across this issue or have done this before. My tab was was moved 2+ inches back. I haven't rubbed yet since. Have to test with ppl riding in the rear.

you're supposed to just shave the mounting plastic tab that sticks out in wheel well where the bumper meets the quarter...
I did this and it worked out well, no rolling needed in my case.
I cant picture this tab you were able to move.

^^---Oh it's in there a little further. The part where the bumper meets the quater has already been shaved flush with the quarter
I've got an idea....hheeeeehe...I'll post pix asap(tomorrow)!!! there is a way to flare the quarter with a hydraulic ram nice and slow!
