Sheer Silver and Polished Titanium were 2003-only colors. Sheer Silver FTW, btw.

While this is fun and all, simply Google "2003 Maxima Colors" and you'll see that a website called CarsDirect.com does a pretty excellent job of laying out all the color options, inside and out. For example:

http://www.carsdirect.com/2003/nissan/maxima/colors

Wow I love majestic blue.
KV3 FTW!

EDIT: That page posted by Rochester is interesting. It almost looks like Gray Lustre on GXE's could be a tiny shade different. Not sure though, maybe I need my eyes checked. Kind of makes since though. When I was calling some local shops to get some quotes on painting some body parts, one of them told me that there are actually a few different tones of Gray Lustre depending on what location the vehicle was built. Its not an extremely noticable change, but there is one.

I didn't realize there was a difference between Sterling Mist and the Sheer Silver on '03s until recently. I just figured something was wrong with my car because it was SM, yet didn't look nearly as gray, metallic, and cool as other SS cars I'd see that were, I thought, the same color.

Yeah, SM beige is hideous, but the Merlot and Majestic Blue are hawtttt.

My '05 is "Liquid Silver" according to that website. Liquid is cooler than Sheer, obviously.

I agree, the colors represented there are off, but that's because they're just solid web-colors, not photographs of the actual paint. They don't represent metallic flake and clear-coat. For example, it shows Sheer Silver as darker than Sterling Mist, which is clearly wrong.

However, it is a good source for actual color names matched to model years.

It's a deep, dark silver/gray color. One of those colors that looks entirely different depending on the lighting.

This was MaximusTi's 2003 SE TE 6MT in Polished Titanium. Pictures don't do it justice, because in-person, this car color is absolutely gorgeous.
