02-03 Auto tranny wont shift past 2nd gear

ok so long story short about 8 months ago my 03 tranny started the dreaded 2nd-3rd flair..... now my girlfriend is driving the car and it just stopped shifting out of second....she had the tranny flushed and nothing changed.... i know the valve body's usually cause the flair but i am not sure what to do?
any insight or suggestions or experience would be greatly appreciate

ive read about people changing the valve body's and it doesn't fix the problem.

should i replace the valve body's or replace the transmission?

I dont have a great deal of experience with this subject but i did read a ton of threads about it...i know getting a flush when you have a 2nd to 3rd slipping issue is a big no no because if anything it'll just make it worse. the valve body could be the issue but I would prolly look into the solenoid pack. however now that your saying it wont shift past second you have a bigger problem maybe. I would get a trustworthy shop who knows a great deal about transmissions and see what the price difference would be between a repair vs. a replace.

^^^Sage advice. Has the tranny ever been serviced? Other than the flush, of course. Drain & fill for example.

Mine ended just like that. Sheared packs and all. Drain the fluid see if metals in it first. From there there's going to be a meltdown so they'll know from there as far as the valve body. Easiest just get a low mileage joker and install the shift kit.
