Rough starting

So I just did the free sts mod, and forgot to plug the maf back in after (it was dark). I only got a few feet before I realized obviously, but now its hesitating when I do a cold start. It barely starts sometimes, but it's fine when it's warm. Do I need to do a reset/relearn of some kind?

Unplug the battery for some hours and see what would happen ... Perform the reset and relearn procedures list in the forums if the battery trick fails. But I doubt your problem is due to the forgotten MAF

I tried the relearn and no difference, today it almost sounded like it wasn't gonna start. It just really hesitates but once it starts it runs ok. It never did this until I ran it with the maf unplugged, it's really bothering me

Any chance your MAF is dirty as a result of being pulled out? Or installed strangely in some way (unlikely). If you have some MAF cleaner you might yank it, clean it and reset one more time.

Any codes at all?

Didn't mean to do that second one, but I just unplugged the connector and took the whole air box off so it's unlikely the maf is dirty. It's throwing no codes, could I have damaged something by trying to drive with the maf unplugged?

No it goes into limp mode, it is a wear part so unplugged should not affect it. Be advised that when I unplugged my connector one of the wires was frayed and broke and I did not notice until I plugged it back in and car ran like chit. I am like wtf its a new MAF, but the wire was not connected, had to solder it and then the car ran perfectly

The wiring appears to be good, i cant see anything obvious either. Im so frustrated, it never did this until I did the sts mod. It hesitates so bad when you first turn the key then revs up to normal cold start rpm. It only does it on cold starts, once its warmed up its starts normally.
