there is only a difference if your lenses are fresnel, dimpled, etc, and not clear. the main thing with clear is that you will get a sharper cutoff, possibly some increased output, and you have more wiggle room with cutoff color mods(IIRC). since yours are clear, you don't have to worry about it.

Well if you have '04-'05 projectors the lenses are infact clear but the TSX-R's are still better. The central intensity, width intensity, beam uniformity, cutoff sharpness and color flicker are all improved. There's also a more colorful colorband at the cutoff.

It's not something necessary but it would be nice to have. I know when you do a retro yourself you definitely wanna get as much out of it as possible.

no it's vmware virtual machine. Really straight forward to use and they have this unity mode, so that windoze runs in the background and just pops up new windows just as apps. pretty cool

haha i copy pasted it from another forum. good catch!

Edit:
however, this demonstrates that with an auto brake pedal heel/toe shifting is not a problem!

I noticed that you kept the auto brake pedal. (Amongst other things you can't help but notice and wish you hadn't.)

I'd almost call that a mod, although obviously the brake was there first, and clutch is the newcomer to that foot-well.

I like where you put the EU and the Wideband gauge. Any reason why you have both the EU and VAFC?

Man I know, but the angles and the plastic re-inforcements on the backside made it a pain in the *** to cut. I have to get some edge trim to put around the cut to mask it. And the USB cable is in there for tuning purposes. I'm still not finished tuning, I guess I could've pulled it for the picture tho...

@Schmellyfart I had the VAFC before I had the EU, and the way it's wired I'd have to pull the headliner and all that stuff and so I just decided to leave it. Plus I guess it's the only thing in the car that tells me battery voltage =)

Nice job, but PLEASE replace that hacked up trim panel. There are plenty of other options - you can run hidden cable and put a flushmount USB port ANYWHERE in the car!

well the reason for the cutout is to have access to the 4 dip switches on the left to activate different maps.

I installed the PFTB, BBMAF and the 3.5 inch intake and auto-tuned it with the EU.

Boy what a difference. I was tuned on the short intake i had earlier as well with the stock TB and the but dyno feels way different. So I would definitively say 3.5 long intake is beneficial for the vq30 as well. It also added a nice roar when pulling on the highway now which wasn't there before.
