Urgent: 5.5 won't start, security light on solid.

Please help gurus,
!!! Car won't start, battery solid (everything illuminates, no dimming, keyless works), cranks over but won't fully start.
Security light on solid. I have the switchblade key and I feared the chip was loose inside, I checked and confirmed it was. I'm assuming chip isn't registering, as I tried taping the chip close to the key portion. Is there a reset method or something I can perform or am I doomed to get towed to the dealership?

I choose option B): Doomed to get towed to the dealership.

The Security System blocked your engine, that happens when you try to start the car without a Original key (transponder).

Throw your original key in and you should be good... My valet key does that...
Will have a stored code in the ecu saying "nats" (nissan anti theft system) after using something with out the chip...

Yes there is a reset procedure. It is in the factory service manual.

Had to have the car towed. $21 on flatbed via AAA. Chip stopped communicating with immobilizer. New key + reprogram, $140 w/tax. Glad I got the car back on the Saturday, but definitely didn't need the extra hassle. Despite them doing their job, wouldn't recommend Ira Nissan of Woburn. Pretty much wanted to punch the humpty dumpty service advisor by the end of the day.

Have to have the original key handy. Those aftermarket ones can sometime be a PIA.

The key was fine, it was the chip that was bad. It was from an original key. I'm done with the switchblade thing though.

Dumb and obnoxious is on their HR hiring list. Same with their sales from my experience. They tried changing the price on me 3 times over the phone, and ignored our calls when I was stranded.

And yes, the switchblade was DEFINITELY NOT VW quality. I could flip my friend's Jetta key open and close, smooth and solid. This thing would struggle and the key portion became flimsy real quick. Almost glad it worked out this way.
