I am getting my tail lights painted.....pictures to follow

I brought my tail lights to a body shop today and they are going to paint the outter edge of the lights (like where the SE's have the black trim) body color, which is Gray Lustre. I saw this on a white Maxima and I had to do it, it looked so awesome. I should get them back in about a week or so. Once I get them back, I will post pictures. I can't wait to get them back

Around $30 for prepping (sp?) and painting both lights.

That's pretty good, they're gonna look nice. But don't you already have SE tails? Wouldn't that leave little difference?

Well I don't want the SE lights. If my car was black, then I would have gotten the SE lights to match (which have the black trim). Since my car is Gray Lustre, the black wouldn't match. This is more original too 9even though only a few people have done it.)

I am not quite sure I understand your question....if you mean how much did the extra set cost, $50 plus $10 shipping. New lights from Nissan probably cost around $250 a set (left and right).

I really like the painted tails on the 5th gen. Lemme know how much it ends up costing? Is there a special paint/procedure to be done? I checked with one body shop and they won't do it for me! I have to find a speciality shop that does custom jobs.
