Clearance Issue, help?

Hey guys, I just installed my coilovers and I noticed I have very little clearance between the ground and my y-pipe (I believe), I would like to go lower but I believe I would scrape my exhaust all over the road. Does anyone know if the warpspeed y-pipe would help me with my clearance issues? I will get a picture of what is nearly touching the ground if that will help you identify what i need. Thanks.

LOL....with the open headers will be louder than the scraping......and the police will probably be right behind him too.

I would suggest removing all 4 wheels and then you will be really low

i doubt it man...other than removing the shields on teh cats on the ypipe, thats all we get...i have a warpspeed ypipe my car is pretty slammed, but raised just enough...but!!!!!! its almost got me stuck in some places because of the angles of the driveways and raised concrete sidewalks..fail

Aftermarket Y-pipes don't have the heat-shield that the OEM Y-pipe does. That's the only thing that could maybe give you a little extra clearance. Maybe.

I've got the Cattman Y-pipe, and it seems fairly flush to the underside. Then again, I'm also quite contently 6 feet off the ground on OEM springs, so I've never really studied the issue for clearance.

Thats about how low i am...once you remove the heat shield youll have a slight clearance in terms of your exhaust but your crossmember will still take a hit if something is sticking up in the street....ironically the reason i know is that there was roadwork being done last night in my area and i hit a manhole that was sticking up higher than the street...heard a loud CLANG and thought that was it for my oilpan but it was just the crossmember

Haha, I'm in NYC too with BC's, not as low as Murdadremedy's, but low enough that I'm afraid of every little bump on the street.

...Not even...BC's do their job...everyone from my girl who doesnt like lowered cars to my grandma with her bad hip rode in my car as low as it is and no complaints or bobble head effect [granted i get my swerve on and dont go charging head first into every bump/pothole i see]...if theres one suspension setup i can say is worth every penny its BC coils

sunysb83- i actually saw your BC thread a few weeks before i purchased mines and the fact that you raised it made me weary about NYC streets but once i set it to my current level and saw that front tire tuck i never looked back....but im not gonna lie im scared ****less of raised manholes
