A thread just to show my appreciation for my max

I go through ups and downs with this car. Oil burning, rusty wheel well, and 3rs gear crunch make me hate it. But sometimes i can't avoid giving it credit for what it has done for me. I recently uad a hurricane and drove through AT LEAST a 3ft lake. Car stalled and water came in through the floor boards. Still managed to start and pull through.

Then thanks to this org I learned how to work on the car from spark plugs, brakes, and soon suspension. This site has saved me TONS.

P.s. djfrestyle...I planned on bringing the car to you but I recently found out I'll be a dad soon. Gotta save where I can now haha.

Ha the car is usually reliable, good on power, and I love the size. However, it is not exactly a pretty site. It has scrathes and dents and rust. As long as it stays reliable I dont mind the marks though. One day I'll be able to afford a clean car. Although, after the 5thg gen, I dont know what I like that compares haha.

My fiancee and I went on a little week end out of town, and we used her car for the road trip: A 2004 Lincoln LS. It's a very comfortable ride for long trips, and has plenty of power with the Jaguar 3.9L V8 280hp engine. However, it is just not reliable at all. It only has 90k miles, and over the past 4 years i had to replace:
- The driver window regulator twice, and every other window regulator once.
- The driver door inside handle (it broke and stayed in my fiancee's hand one day as she was opening the door).
- The A/C unit fried
- Two pre-cat converters
- Valve cover gasket
- All the ignition coils
- The rpm gauge one day fell down, and the cluster had to be replaced.

So last night, when we came back and pulled in the parking lot, and I saw my Maxima, I realized how much I love this car, even if it is not perfect it is way more fun to drive, agile and reliable than the Lincoln LS...

Congrats on the impending arrival!

I was just thinking what you were all thinking as I drove my '01 SE20A to work this morning.

It is by this car that I judge all others. Power, comfort, handling, features. Knock on wood, mine has been dead nuts reliable, and I drove it through several record snow storms with little to no excitement at all (although it basically was the end for the shocks).

Some people loss power for over a week. I lost it for less than 24 hours. Floods were crazy and I spent some time moving trees from my driveway. Overrated storm I think. Didnt even wake me up
