P0455, where to look for leaks

I got the code, bought a new gas cap and the code came back. Before I order new parts I want to check if maybe the tubing is cracked around the canister or valve. Where is the location of the evaporator canister and valve?

Thanks

The canister is behind the rear driver side tire. What valve are you talking about? There are quite a few in our cars!

I am talking about the vent control valve, is that not obvious from my question in regards to the location of the evaporator canister?

I got the P0455 code, and from all the threads I see people get two codes, the second being P1148. Before I order any new parts I want to check I don't have a ripped hose, hence me asking for the location.

Isn't that right infront of the canister? Looking at the canister from the front of the car the vent control valve is the one on the left side of the charcoal canister

And there is another few valves that are partbof the evap system, there is the one that the smoke machine goes into to check for leaks and there is the valve that goes into the canister from the engine

The canister/valve are under the car, driver side rear, next to the gas tank as gjaa mentioned.

Coincidentally, I logged on to look into this as well. Does any know if the canister from an 04 max is the same as the 03?
