removing steering wheel

hey everyone wanted to know whats the proper way to remove the steering wheel. the current one i have is heated but the leader is all ripped and torn. bought a new one but wanted to know whats the proper way to remove the air bag without it blowing up in my face. do i need some sort a steering wheel puller to get it off. tried looking in the forum but couldnt fins anything, thanks in advance.

Just disconnect the battery before you do anything, the air bag is the easy part from what i've heard... and yes, i think you are going to need a special tool, im going to be swap my non heated wheel to a heated wheel soon I'll keep you updated on what i find when i tear into it... Oh and actually youtube is a good reference as to odd jobs like this, you might not find a video specifically for a max but any different one should provide you with a good reference point...
