does anyone know where I can buy door hinges for the 5th gen maxima? I am going to give DaveB tomorrow a call to see if it something that could be ordered from him...
I found a few sites online but none of them is selling for the 5th gen, a couple are selling the 4th gen bud does anyone know of those will fit the 5th gen?
Thanks

I had the feeling that it would be an item not in stock...

There's a fix on here (search for it) that's a LOT cheaper. It involves washers to shim the saggy door.

I did my research but that's only a temporary fix, it doesn't really fix the issue with the worn out door hinge. Once the hinge is sagging its done no matter you are not going to fix that issue with a washer... plus if i am going to spend the time to mess around with washers I might as well pull the hinges out and replace them and be done with it...

I've experienced first hand that the washer fix does last for a while - over 2 years, and it's not as clumsy to install as you may think.

In the end it's your choice, I just wanted to throw it out as an option in case you were not yet aware of it.

yea I knew about the washer basically "lifting" the bottom hinge but in my case both hinges are shot the bottom has about as much movement as much as the top one .... even as i drive the car over bumps I can hear the hinges crack and move an literally I can grab the door and move it up and down about half an inch...

...based on the reading, even a new door hinge will eventually land you in the same situation, but it's you ride, you know what's best for it. The above is just for your options (and anyone else looking for a solution)

I had the same door hinge problems about 2 years ago. I read about the washer trick, but went ahead and called DaveB and and hooked me up with a set of brand new hinges. I had to paint them when a got them, but I was able to install them by myself without any issues. The door acts like new again. I love it.
