Remove Nissan Badge from Wheels?

I'm trying to paint my 5.5 SE wheels because they have tons of curbing and I figured it would be a nice little project to gain some experience. I wanted to know if anyone knew how to get the Nissan burger off of the wheel center cap. I saw on nycmaximas someone painted their wheels black and managed to keep the emblem chrome/silver. I'm not sure if they are removable or if they were just taped off, but if anyone has any insight, please feel free to leave some thoughts.

The center caps are removable, you can pop em off (carefully), paint the rims, then put them back on.

Can't you just pop them off from the back?

No, remove the rims and tap them out from the inside.

No. Could damage the lip.

Yes.

If you want to paint the center caps as well, you can drill out the back plastic pops just enough to release the Nissan logo. Then after you paint the caps, you can reinstall the logos back in the hole and hot glue them in place.

I did similar, but used eBay decals for my G35 coupe rims so they would fit over the axle...

This is with the two plastic pop rivets drilled out and a hole for the axle to fit inside.

This is with the eBay emblem on...

Ah, you misinterpreted me, I know how to get those off, I want to remove the Burger from the center cap itself, so I can paint the center cap too.

You got me, do I just drill a maybe a 1/4 inch from the center to pop it out?
