Whats the best route to go from gauge pod to engine compartment ?

Triple gauge pod going in, boost , oil temp and fuel pressure.

My boost gauge is mechanical, im not to big on the idea of running a line all the way from the vacuum tee to the triple gauge pod, but I dont know if I want to spend another 70$ on a gauge when I have one.

Whats the easiest way to route from the gauge pod to the engine compartment, did you guys drill new holes in the firewall ? route into the gromet that the main harness goes through?

Give me some options guys .

K, thanks thats the best route I see so far.

Btw I see your boosted, the guage I have is a mechanical gauge and the brand is glowshift . Is it accurate enought for a S/C setup? Or should I bite the bullet and buy something better ?

All mine are glowshift on my A pillar (oil pressure, oil temp, boost) but my innovate(A/F Ratio) which is on my steering column... they work great for me I dont see you having any trouble

When I did my stereo I had to drill a hole, seems the wiring goes through the fender compartment and back around on the 5th gen. The only other firewall grommets I seen were on the passenger side.

Did I miss something?

It does go to the fender but there is a hole leading to the engine bay immediately after you get through the grommet

I just picked up an auto meter boost gauge with the left side dummy vent and have been meaning to ask the same question about the line, but it looks like you have to somewhat pull the dash out as the mounting holes are bigger than the vent opening, hense the reason i havn't smashed it in yet lol, Btw maxspeed im glad to see you ended up keeping your car and went with the sc setup..boost is fun

Pic? I couldn't see anything, just the wires leading into the fender, and I wasn't about to pull the wheel and splash guard.

I guess I'm missing it.

I think last I checked I remember something above the clutch pedal. But that was a while back maybe wasn't a good spot. Any pics would be cool and helpfull.

Yeah and I'm auto. This is the first car I've had that has this obnoxious integrated plastic cover on the interior side of the firewall. You can't tell where anything is, let along get to it.

Not complaining, just was surprised, usually it's fairly straightforward, but the best I could do to locate the area was where the stand-off bracket is that would be for the clutch switch or pedal mount I assume.
