My newest protoype

Ok, I machinesd the model for the mold. There a a few minor imperfections, but nothing to affect performance, and probably not noticeable after install

Ray, can you complete the set with a manual transmission mount too? You will fill a gap in the market with that. And that should hopefully get rid of the stupid transmission movements in the first 2 gears at parking lot speeds (even though I have es motor mounts)
Count me in by the way

If this goes well Ray, I'd be very interested to see the others come behind the passenger mount, wthoughts?
In either case, I am thinking of getting a new car, I just need to do some pricing. If I don't like the prices I'll hold off, and as such, will want one of these for sure bud.

I took some photos today of both style mounts.
This first picture is the OEM passenger mount for an Auto. Note the huge space which allows the engine to sag.
This second photo is the same mount. Notice that there is even more space where you can't even see it.
This is the Mt mount, sorry I did not get around to removing this from the car today. Notice it has a lot more rubber, but there are still some gaps
And finally you can see the OEM mount beside the model of the proposed bushing I would be having made. As you can see I sort of took a page from ES's book and filled in the big empty space at the end of the bolt sleeve with conical material like the lower torque mounts. I think this design will prevent the sagging engine, eliminate the clunk some people experience going over the bumps, and possibly act like a torque link to prevent engine movement even more than the lower torque mounts. Softer than NWP's mechanical brace but much stronger than OEM.

Hopefully before christmas. We need ten guys on board minimum for the pricing. Then I would have to find out when the company needs the cash. I don't know how long it takes to get them made but since i am supplying the model, all they need to do is make the mold and start a production run. So I am hoping if all goes well, last week of November. I'd also like to take a look at a drivers side mount because if it is the same size i might be able to double the order.
Is anyone opposed to sending 50% deposits ?

I just found out that i know someone with a spare drivers side mount. Unfortunately we'll have to wait until next weekend to meet as I am on afternoon shift. I'll post more info when i find out.

I don't need the money yet. I'll post when I have a few more details. I have put out feelers to 4 places but have only heard back from one so far. Looks like we have 4 or five guys committed, and a few on the fence. We need a few more to commit

Now, a 10 year old car... maybe it's time. But even then, we're talking about the bushings on the pivot ends of the engine, which get much less abuse than the torque mounts.
ES probably looked at this and decided they wouldn't sell enough to make it worth their while.

Rarely changed? Check the number of front end clunk threads that turn out to be the rf mount. Oh wait, you can't - search is broken.
Don't mean to bash. This site has helprd me out in many ways.

IIRC, ES is using shore "a" 80 rated poly for the lower torque mounts. I'm thinking that 60 "a" will be a little softer and better for the kidneys. Something stronger than stock but not too insane.
