Throttle Problem: ABS and Batt lights flash

Hey everybody, i was driving today in the rain, and the car just seemed to loose power. 03 6Spd all stock.. then the battery and abs lights were then flashing, and the the throttle had no response basically. I could start it, and everything was fine otherwise, put it in gear ease off clutch and could go thru most gears just without the throttle. Suffice to say its in a parking lot now. I dont have a scanner, I plan to grab a scanner soon, but im guessing throttle body went out or something related.. but hoping not the throttle body itself.... Any insight would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Sounds like what happened when my alternator went. Replace that and I bet you are good to go.

Two possibilities come to mind, one has been mentioned (the alternator) this was my issue about a year ago tested the alternator and it was only putting out 6 volts, so I replaced it and all is good. The second possibility would be on of the cam position sensor is on its way out, I have read that the same symptoms appear such as loss of power, stalling, and the dash board lighting up like a Christmas tree. I would suggest getting the battery and alternator checked just to rule out the charging system and then have the out put checked on your cam position sensors.

Most likely the alternator not supplying enough voltage.
Replace it.

Battery and/or alternator are the most likely causes and the simplest to diagnose. In addition, it's possible that some electrical component got wet if you were driving in heavy rain. That'll be a little harder to diagnose, and you might have to wait until it dries out. Definitely get batt/alternator checked first though.

Thanks everyone...went back a few hours later, no codes that werent there before, and it ran fine, until i tried to hit 30 on the street, gave it some gas belt squealed and lost throttle and abs and batt lights flashed...im hoping a loose or worn out belt is the culprit...will find out tomorrow i suppose..

If the alternator wasn't charging to the point that it killed the car from running (and the battery ultimately) I wouldn't expect it to then start up afterwards really. This happened to me recently and once the car was off it did not start again until I charged the battery back up, it was a bad alternator.

Are you able to rev the car over 2500 rpms?
