Key FOB programming
Key FOB programming
Hi, I have a 2000 Maxima and I'm trying to program a new key fob to replace mine with a broken lock button. To the best of my knowledge I must insert key in ignition 8 times in 10 seconds w/ doors locked from inside, then look for hazzards to flash, put key in ACC position and then press a button on the remote. However, when I am inserting the key 8x in 10 seconds I cannot get hazzards to flash. Is my programming procedure incorrect? What can I do at this point to troubleshoot, or will my car never have a working FOB again?
Thank you!
Thank you!
You are probably going to fast removing the key. It only needs to be 6+ times in 10 seconds, withdrawing the key completely between insertions.
