greddy exhaust n y pipe

i have a greddy exhaust now and it sounds great. i was wondering if i add a y pipe, would it make the car sound louder? if so..by how much?

but that's a serious pain to get it done!! i say leave it!! Go scare some grannys and civics..

oh yeah...as far as how loud it is...well, my gf said that she can hear my car from about 1/4 mile out in her neighborhood....

what i like about my exhaust is that it doesn't give u that rice(Honda) exhaust note...it's just deep, resonating tone...that sets off alot of car alarms in the neighborhood...

Hey Irvine78, did you replace the resonator with some custom mendrel pipe ? Since I am about to install a Cattman Y-Pipe ( on the way ) and a new Muffler should I get rid of the resonator and replace it with some custom mendrel pipe, what do you think of that set-up ?

Thanks for help.

P.S: You car just look awesome.

Hey bro, what's up ? Thanks for your input. it's good to know, cuz I dont want my set-up to be too loud, so I will keep the resonator. I couldn't resist for this muffler, http://abacus.sj.ipixmedia.com/abc/M...26b8f/i-1.JPG, look really nice and cost me 100$ + shipping, I have not much to loose anyway.

Cheers & happy new year.

How does it sound with stock cat vs rt cat?

cattman y->stock cat->custom b-pipe (no res)->stock muffler

Are you selling your b-pipe?

Nice rumble, exhaust seems a bit higher toned, but still somewhat throaty.
There has been a lot of talk in the past about the RT cat improving performance at all and no one seems to have a dyno to back it up.

I have a cattman y, stock cat, stock res.. stock muffler. In your opinion (performance wise) is it worth it to install an RT cat and custom b-pipe (one or both?)

no shop will do it for you since it is illegal. Take a hammer and a long screwdriver. Stick the scredriver in the cat against the material inside and start whacking it away.

i wouldn't say 'no' shops...but very few shops are willing to do this...it's a up to $20,000 in fine...
