Abs, Tcs, slip light on only when wet?
Alright so I'm having a problem with my 2k. When it rains- my tcs, abs, and slip lights come on. Not all the time though. Sometimes it will be a few months with a lot of rain in between, and they don't come on. Also when they are off everything works properly (obviously). Now it was raining last week for a few days and they came on, and within 24hrs they were back off after they "dried out" I guess. Now it's raining again this week and there back on. It has still been that less than 24 hours and it is still wet out, so they are still on. Anybody have any ideas? I tried to ground the datalink to get codes with no avail. I could not get it to flash any codes- but I probably wasn't doing it right. Is it just a speed sensor? Something else? I need these to work especially in wet weather. Please let me know if you have any idea where I can start. Thanks.

You need to go somewhere and have the codes pulled. Most auto parts stores will do it for free. Even though the lights arnt on there should still be history codes. These lights coming on doesnt necessarily mean that you have a problem with a wheel sensor or your traction control. if another system is having a problem it can command those systems off and turn the lights on.

What could be causing it? And I didn't know that auto parts stores had the capability to scan for those lights/codes. It's not giving me any cel codes, I tried scanning for that already. Do I have to go to the dealer for those kinds of services?

If a normal OBDII scanner is not showing any codes then i would take it to an independent shop with a good scan tool and have it checked. You can take it to the dealership but they usually charge more, trust me i work for one lol. It could also be as simple as having a bad seal on one of your connections for a wheel sensor. You could be getting moisture in there when it rains and the PCM is seeing an odd variation in the signal or no signal and is deactivating those systems.
