Suspension = new car
Damn, I put my ksports on finally and damn I feel like I'm in a different car. Yeah its no 5 series but my drop is german car style about a finger gap all around.
First I had my firmness on full stiff but was way to jittery even on smoothest roads. Then I went full soft on 300 mile road trip, front felt a little soft even though I know it was firmer than stock.
I think I finally got adjustment right to about 4 up from soft in front and 6 up in back. Nice and tight and not jittery.
Corners beautifully and the one dip on highway that caused me a little float and correction going 80mph over now is no problem.
Damn for all people who start engine modding first you got it backwards, do your suspension first then work on the engine.
Now I just need some poly mounts and/or tq link and I'll be set.

I think it's all relative to what the car needs most when you first get it. If you have stock suspension and a reliable smooth running engine then yeah, Suspension > Engine. If you have recently replaced shocks and struts and an engine with over 250k Miles then I think Engine Overhaul is priority over Coilover and suspension set up.
Congrats on the Coilovers. I hope to get mine set up by next year, after an engine overhaul.

Lol I know I remember reading yours and almost posted in it but decided to copy you and do my own thread lol
But you are right. While my stock suspension wasn't worn, coils being stiffer and lower feels so good. Yeah big bumps are pretty stiff but trade off is worth it. Damn hurry and get on the engine mods so you can run those low-mid 14's.
I probably should have gotten headers but oh well I'm pretty happy with my set up. I may get exhaust down the line as my last engine mod.

Same here, i wanna get going with the engine mods but it'll take some time, start with the bop, its a really inexpensive, well worth it mod. My next is the free sts and then nwp spacers, check out Aarons latest post on economic spacers, 124.99 for the 5 pcs, cant beat that and its almost available, ive researched it a lot and buck for buck its gotta be one of the best engine mods imo, and that rear sway bar is a very often mentioned perfect complement to a new suspension
And i totally agree about the trade off, some bumps i feel like my fillings are gonna fall out but its all worth it!
